Ruff Cuts

RUFF CUTS, founded in 2005, is a signature student 16mm film and digital video works in progress screening and critique series in the School of Media Studies. Three shows are produced each Fall and Spring semester, providing a forum for students to present and discuss their work and receive feedback from fellow students, faculty and invited industry guests.

I have been honored to have worked alongside three student producing teams with this event, beginning with the founders who had been hosting a make-shift event in their apartment.  We worked to organize, brand and promote RUFF CUTS sessions to function outside and additional to the classroom and provide support and enthusiasm for all involved to create, comment and critique on media-making, reception and outcome much further.

RUFF CUTS provides intellectually stimulating interaction (and fun social) among students, faculty and guests and I look forward to continuing to be part of each session as a faculty member participant.
